When is the Bumble
Bee going to rest?
Camp was the same
as usual except the part of how I found a bumble bee.
I called him Mr
Fuzzy. His black and yellow coat
shimmered in the sunlight. His delicate
antlers twitched while his wings shimmered amongst the leaves.
It was only 2 more
days until I was going home. 2 more days
until I could let Mr Fuzzy sleep next to me on my pillow. I couldn’t wait to show Mr Fuzzy his own bed.
“Night campers”
Miss Melody called.
I put Mr Fuzzy in
his tissue box.
As I snuggled up
in my sleeping bag, I couldn’t stop twitching.
The word bed ran through my head.
I was eager to show my pet bumble bee his new bed. Even though I was going to have to hide Mr
Fuzzy from my parents.
I tried one more
time again trying to go to sleep. When I
opened my eyes again, the bright sunlight shone through my tent. I could hear the glorious music of the birds
singing.
Our first subject
for the day was finding the honey brown bear that Miss Melody hid. Of course Nikki found it.
Mr Fuzzy laid
comfortably on my shoulder. Tomorrow
would be the day I went home! We were on
our way back to the camping ground. I
bent down to pick up another flower. It
was a royal blue violet.
I then put Mr
Fuzzy in the box and the heap of colourful flowers, when we reached the
tents. Before I went to bed I thought of
all the fun me and Mr Fuzzy would have.
Then I closed my eyes and went to bed.
I work up
disturbed by a loud beeping noise. DAD! I grabbed my bag and gently hid Mr
Fuzzy behind my back. I had forgotten to
close Mr Fuzzy's box.
As I got in the
car I hadn’t noticed Mr Fuzzy climbing up my shirt.
“BEE! Get it out!
Get it out!” He screamed. It was like the alarm had gone off. I really knew not to argue with dad. He was the king of punishment. But I didn’t want to hurt his feelings.
I took a deep breath
in and opened the door. He was really
gone. It was the end of me and Mr Fuzzy.
Mr Fuzzy never got
to sleep at my house for eternity after all.
